Position Title: Sr. Systems Analyst/Engineer
Position Location: Bakersfield, CA
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summary of Duties: Design, develop, and test the manufacture of electrical and computer operations control system. Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Analyze proposals and recommend product specifications. Evaluate and approve design changes, specification and review releases. Prepare technical specifications to ensure that installation and operation conform to standards. Conduct field surveys and identify and correct power system problems. Investigate and test vendors and competitor products. Coordinate and resolve technical developments and engineering design and test programs. Participate in engineering discussions concerning design alternatives and specify standardization tests. Draft new test programs for demonstrating product maintainability. Provide project reports, memorandum and instructional manuals to document program development.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience as an Engineer, Team Lead or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year of experience as an Engineer, Team Lead, or related occupation in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience. The position requires 1 year of experience with the following: Wonderware, ArchtestrA, InTouch, Historian Server, Historian Client, Rockwell (Allen-Bradley); PowerFlex VFD; FTView ME, FTView SE; Siemens PLC-S7-200, S7-300; Semantic Manager Step 7, SQL Server (2k5/2k8/2k12) and reporting services, C, C+, and AutoCAD 2D.
